The Art of Vocal Production

This module introduces the course and provides an overview of the content and skills that participants will acquire throughout the program.

This module delves into natural vocal design, covering topics such as vocal range, vocal mix placement, and natural doubling. Participants will learn about vocal registers, equalization, dynamics processing, and various vocal mixing techniques in a DAW.

In this module, participants explore artificial vocal design, learning about time-based effects, artificial widening, doubling, slapback, echo, reverb, and other vocal effects. The module also includes interactive exercises to reinforce learning.

This module focuses on vocal time compression and expansion, providing in-depth insights into basic and tempo-based audio editing, audio sampling, elastic audio, and tools such as Flex and ReVoice.

Participants dive into vocal pitch correction and tuning in this module, discovering the use of filters, megaphone effects, talkbox, vocoder, Autotune, Melodyne, and other vocal technology in the field. The module offers an optional hands-on production session in a DAW.
