Course Modules

This specialisation consists of three modules: Globalisation and health governance, Migration and health, and Climate change and health. Each module provides in-depth knowledge and skills to address global health challenges.

Globalisation and health governance

Globalisation and health governance introduces learners to the scope, history, principles, stakeholders, and conceptual frameworks of global health, globalisation, and governance. It explores the impact of globalisation on health governance at local, national, and multilateral levels.

Migration and health

Migration and health delves into the relationship between migration and health, global trends in migrations, and policy instruments addressing migration. Learners will understand international treaties protecting migrants’ right to health and critically evaluate national health systems' coverage for migrants.

Climate change and health

Climate change and health examines the relationship between globalisation, environmental change, and health. Learners will gain familiarity with planetary health, global climate governance structures, climate policy instruments, and the analysis of relevant policies to tackle global health challenges.
