Course Modules

This course comprises six modules covering risk management framework, foreign exchange risk, governance, risk governance and culture, operational risks, and misconduct risk.

Risk management framework

Module 1: This module introduces the risk management framework, emphasizing the importance of understanding the risk management process and addressing behavioural biases. Participants will explore various risk management solutions and assess their business context to identify appropriate strategies for risk mitigation.

Foreign exchange risk

Module 2: Learners will delve into foreign exchange risk, gaining insights into risk assessment, historical data analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation. They will explore different types of FX risks, derivatives, and practice exercises to enhance their understanding and application of risk management criteria.

Governance

Module 3: This module focuses on governance, exploring incentive conflicts, board and shareholder influence, and the governance glossary. Participants will engage in quizzes and recall activities to reinforce their understanding of governance principles and practices.

Risk governance and culture

Module 4: Participants will examine risk governance and culture, covering topics such as treatment strategies, risk governance, and the three lines of defence. They will engage in practice exercises to apply their knowledge and enhance their ability to implement effective risk governance strategies.

Operational risks

Module 5: This module delves into operational risks, covering root cause analysis, risk event analysis, and subjective risk assessment. Learners will engage in practice activities to strengthen their skills in identifying and managing operational risks effectively.

Misconduct risk

Module 6: Participants will explore misconduct risk, examining individual factors, workplace environment, and practical approaches to addressing misconduct. The module concludes with a course wrap-up and further resources for continued learning and development.
