Finanzas para todos is a theoretical and practical course offered by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Module 1: Contabilidad Financiera
Module 1 of Finanzas para todos introduces basic accounting concepts and the main financial statements of a company. Students will learn about the importance of accounting, the users of financial information, the principles of accounting, and internationally accepted financial standards. Additionally, they will delve into the preparation and review of financial statements, culminating in a comprehensive assessment to consolidate their learning.
Module 2: El Estado de Situación Financiera
In Module 2, students will gain a deep understanding of the structure and effects of business operations on the Balance Sheet. They will explore topics such as fixed assets, depreciation, and practical cases to prepare a Balance Sheet, followed by assessments to reinforce their understanding.
Module 3: El estado de resultado
Module 3 focuses on the Income Statement, where students will learn about income, expenses, costs, and principles of recognition and accrual. They will also explore the relationship between financial statements, practical transaction recording, and the development of a comprehensive Income Statement. This module concludes with a thorough assessment to consolidate their knowledge.
Module 4: Análisis de Estados Financieros
Module 4 equips students with the skills to analyze financial statements using vertical and horizontal analysis, comparisons, and various financial ratios to assess liquidity, solvency, profitability, and management. Practical applications and decision-making scenarios will further enhance their understanding, providing a holistic approach to financial statement analysis.
