This specialization is designed to help you build a fundamental capability of oral Chinese in real-life situations, enabling you to communicate with ease and confidence. Throughout the course, you will achieve proficiency milestones, such as handling real-life situations, mastering language points, and acquiring a substantial number of words. By the end of the program, you will be well-prepared to pass the HSK (Chinese proficiency test) level 1 or 2.

  • Learn Mandarin Chinese 1: Chinese for Beginners - Build a fundamental capability of oral Chinese in real-life situations, covering 150 words, 20 language points, and handling 5 real-life situations.
  • Learn Mandarin Chinese 2: Chinese for Beginners - Continue building on your oral Chinese skills, expanding your vocabulary to 300 words, mastering 40 language points, and handling 10 real-life situations.
  • Learn Mandarin Chinese 3: Chinese for Beginners - Progress to a more advanced level, acquiring 500 words, 60 language points, and handling 15 real-life situations.
  • Learn Mandarin Chinese: Capstone Project - Complete tasks using Chinese language in simulated real-life situations and receive guidance on taking and passing the HSK proficiency test.

Upon completion of the entire series, you will stand at the threshold of intermediate Chinese proficiency, equipped with the language skills to navigate real-world scenarios and engage with Chinese-speaking communities.

Embark on a comprehensive journey to learn Mandarin Chinese through four modules. Each module progressively builds on your language skills, culminating in the Capstone Project, where you'll apply your knowledge in simulated real-life situations and receive guidance for the HSK proficiency test.

Mandarin Chinese 1: Chinese for Beginners

Mandarin Chinese 1: Chinese for Beginners is a beginner's course designed to help learners build a fundamental capability of oral Chinese in real-life situations. Through interactive exercises and cultural tips, you'll cover 150 words, 20 language points, and handle 5 real-life situations. No prerequisite is required for this course.

Mandarin Chinese 2: Chinese for Beginners

Mandarin Chinese 2: Chinese for Beginners is a continuation of Mandarin Chinese 1, further expanding your oral Chinese skills. By the end of the course, you'll have a vocabulary of 300 words, master 40 language points, and handle 10 real-life situations. Completion of Mandarin Chinese 1 or 15 hours of Chinese course attendance is required as a prerequisite.

Mandarin Chinese 3: Chinese for Beginners

Mandarin Chinese 3: Chinese for Beginners is a progression to a more advanced level, where you'll acquire 500 words, master 60 language points, and handle 15 real-life situations. Completion of Mandarin Chinese 2 or 30 hours of Chinese course attendance is required as a prerequisite.

Learn Mandarin Chinese: Capstone Project

Learn Mandarin Chinese: Capstone Project is the culmination of the series, requiring learners to complete tasks using Chinese language in simulated real-life situations. Additionally, guidance on taking and passing the HSK proficiency test will be provided. Completion of Mandarin Chinese 3 is a prerequisite for this course.
