Course Modules

This course is divided into four modules, each covering essential security topics such as shared responsibility, detective controls, data encryption, and protecting compute resources on AWS.

Week 1

Week 1 provides an introduction to shared responsibility, compliance, creating and managing multiple accounts, and identity and access services. It also includes surveys and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Week 2

Week 2 explores network isolation, detective controls, auditing, and monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudWatch Logs, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS Config. Quizzes are included for assessment.

Week 3

Week 3 focuses on data types, encryption in transit and at rest, database encryption, and demonstrates cross-account access to Amazon S3. Quizzes are available for self-assessment.

Week 4

Week 4 covers protecting compute resources, securing endpoints, managing secrets with AWS Secrets Manager, and understanding the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The module concludes with a post-course survey and assessment.
