Profit Analysis using Economic Value Added

In this 1-hour long project-based course, you will learn how to calculate the Weighted Average Cost of Capital, calculate capital invested, finance charge, and NOPAT, and use financial statements to calculate Economic Value Added. Economic Value Added is one of the most critical metrics in financial modeling and analysis and is used to measure the profitability of the projects and management performance.

Upon completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Calculate Weighted Average Cost of Capital
  • Calculate capital invested, finance charge, and NOPAT
  • Use financial statements to calculate Economic Value Added

Before taking this course, it is recommended to complete the Introduction to Valuation with WACC and Analyzing Company's Performance using Ratios projects first to gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Please note that this course is currently optimized for learners based in the North America region, with plans to expand to other regions in the future.
