Get Started / More InfoThis course comprises six modules that cover various aspects of geographic information systems. Participants will delve into spatial data digitization, storage, and manipulation, gaining skills in spatial analysis and map production.
The first module, "Numérisation - Modélisation du territoire: les éléments spatiaux et leurs caractéristiques," delves into the fundamentals of spatial data digitization and modeling. Participants will learn about coordinates, spatial relations, and the use of QGIS for spatial analysis and map production.
In "Numérisation - Saisie et documentation des géodonnées," participants will explore metadata, data acquisition, and georeferencing. This module provides insights into the documentation and capture of geospatial data, essential for creating accurate and reliable spatial databases.
The third module, "Numérisation - Automatisation de la saisie et utilisation de géodonnées existantes," focuses on the automation of data capture and the use of existing geospatial data. Participants will gain practical experience in automating data capture processes and leveraging existing geodatabases for spatial analysis.
"Stockage - Organisation et structuration des géodonnées," the fourth module, delves into the organization and structuring of geospatial data. Participants will learn about relational databases, data modeling, and practical applications in urban planning and mobility.
"Stockage - Gestion de données avec le langage SQL" provides an in-depth exploration of data management using SQL. Participants will gain proficiency in querying, aggregating, and manipulating spatial data, essential for effective spatial data management and analysis.
The final module, "Stockage - SQL spatial et bases de données NoSQL," delves into spatial SQL queries and NoSQL databases. Participants will explore advanced spatial query techniques and their application in scenarios such as wildfire management in the Sahel region.
