Metaliteracy: Empowering Yourself in a Connected World consists of four comprehensive modules. Participants will explore their role as metaliterate learners, become metaliterate digital citizens, learn to create and share information, and finally, see themselves as information producers.

Your Role as a Metaliterate Learner

This module introduces participants to their role as metaliterate learners, emphasizing reflective and empowered learning in collaborative communities. Learners will explore concepts of metacognition, netiquette, and the ethical production and sharing of information, setting the foundation for their journey as metaliterate individuals.

Becoming a Metaliterate Digital Citizen

Participants will delve into the principles of becoming a metaliterate digital citizen in this module. They will gain an understanding of intellectual property, ethical use of information, copyright, and Creative Commons, essential for responsible participation in a connected world.

Creating and Sharing Information

Module three focuses on the art of creating and sharing information through digital storytelling. Participants will learn the techniques and resources required to effectively convey their stories in a connected world, becoming adept at producing and sharing information creatively and ethically.

Seeing Yourself as an Information Producer

In this final module, participants will embrace the role of an information producer, culminating in a final project that involves creating a digital artifact or story. They will apply their metaliterate skills to produce and share information, reflecting their journey as empowered contributors to information environments.
