The course "Valuing nature and people to inform business decision-making" introduces the Capitals Approach to integrate natural, social, and human capitals into business decision-making. This introductory course, developed by the Capitals Coalition, covers the internationally recognized Natural Capital Protocol and Social and Human Capital Protocols.

Through four modules, the course delves into the risks and opportunities related to nature, people, and society, the process of a capitals assessment, and getting started with a natural capital assessment. Learners will understand the importance of including nature, people, and society in business decision-making and how to drive change at the organizational level. The course structure follows a comprehensive curriculum, providing a detailed understanding of the Capitals Approach and its application in business settings.
